Job Title: IT Systems Analyst/Senior Application Developer

Brief Description:
This is a senior level technical position, which will report directly to the regional application development manager. The position will work extremely close with the other software development and support teams at Newfield. Application size and scope will vary from project to project, but a majority of the applications will be web-based.
Detailed Description:
· Support and develop internal Newfield applications along with support of 3rd party applications
· Propose multiple solutions with advantages and disadvantages to meet project goals
· Design software solutions based on end user requirements
· Support and train user community
· Plan and coordinate tasks involved in internal or joint venture development project
· Plan, track, and execute tasks and activities required to meet the goals of the project
· Develop web-based applications using ASP.net VB with XML Web Services
Job Requirements:
· Experience in ASP.net VB coding required
· Understanding of JavaScript and or AJAX coding
· Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry preferred
· Knowledge and/or experience in Agile and/or XP development preferred
· Experience in some type of ETL projects or technologies
· Strong MS Excel and MS Access skills
· Strong communication & interpersonal skills, must be a team player
· Strong leadership skills
· Energetic, self motivated and goal-oriented mindset
· Excellent organizational skills a must
Additional Details:
· Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Science is required
· 5+ years experience in developing web applications
· 5+ years experience in basic SQL code writing
